beyond the green: collective of middlebury voices

a student-run publication that seeks to provide space for voices that are not being heard on our campus. we are grounded by politics that are radical, anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-classist, anti-homophobic, anti-ableist, and anti-transphobic (against all forms of oppression) and that reject the structural neo-liberal paradigm that characterizes middlebury college and its official publications

Alleged Transcript Details Bill Burger’s Actions on March 2nd

Disclaimer: BTG is sharing this transcript from an anonymous source that allegedly details a public safety officer speaking on the actions of VP of Communications Bill Burger on the night of March 2nd, because we believe, as per our mission, in “rejecting the idea that we must conform to the dominant Middlebury narrative.” We also believe in publishing anonymously, unlike other publications, because it shields those who submit to us from possible retaliation.

Last year part of this consisted of publishing an anonymous student account (link account) of what some members of our community experienced that conflicted with the narrative that Middlebury College pushed in mainstream media outlets. Because we feel an obligation to provide any possible information that is still so relevant to public interest, we have decided to post this transcript and encourage the continuance of a dialog on how to hold people in positions of power accountable for their actions.
